"Ode to Ear Light" reads like a weaver's poem of thanks to nature, staying humble even after the harvest is in. Peacock-blue oval beads form the body of the wheat ear, a gold bead at the center is the glinting heart of each grain, tiny pearl beads are dewdrops in the morning light, and flecks of natural purple mica scatter through it like spring blossoms — a full, hopeful wheat ear carrying blessing.
